  2. Very modern; an implied edginess that leaves the reader to his or her imagination...
tasty, with a satisfying touch of bitters.
    Good'n, Em.

  3. This is very cool...and I love that thought. My husband says I have an alter ego that only comes out at night...and he likes it! :) ha ha. Seriously, this is great!!!

  5. Yes, damned night windows... I remember a particularly enjoyable evening with a girlfriend, only to realize our soiree (as it were) took place behind the apartment's first floor "night window"...

    ...and our lights were on.

  9. That drawing reminds me of a technique which was used in the 70s especially in Italian design (and animation films: http://www.bozzetto.com/homepage2.html). I like it very much, and I see the development from colourful to sepia. To use brown whilst writing about day and night makes me think a lot. At least my idea is that everything alive comes to brown ... before the open window is closed. Very good art!

    Best wishes

  11. On Martha's Vineyard, we were told, the custom was for houses near the street to leave the drapes open at night and provide a tasty scene for "peepers" to see: a vase, a painting, an antique lamp. All these house had their living rooms in the back away from prying eyes.

I admit, I love to peep in lighted windows.
