  1. good photo.
but the caption makes me wonder about other life forms and what we know about them and their brain activities in particular...

  2. I agree with Polona.

There's a famous poem by Wallace Stevens called the Snow Man - a deeply profound poem - about the one "who nothing himself, beholds
Nothing that is not there and the nothing that is."

One must have a mind of winter
To regard the frost and the boughs
    Of the pine-trees crusted with snow;

And have been cold a long time
To behold the junipers shagged with ice,
The spruces rough in the distant glitter

Of the January sun; and not to think
Of any misery in the sound of the wind,
In the sound of a few leaves,

Which is the sound of the land
    Full of the same wind
That is blowing in the same bare place

For the listener, who listens in the snow,
    And, nothing himself, beholds
Nothing that is not there and the nothing that is.

  4. ah Patrick - a poem for every occasion.

as I mentioned in the haibun comments I spent many hours getting into the mind of the bee to get a half way decent shot. Id put money on the fact that that bee was only thinking: THAT FLOWER
