Did I get it right? With a litte bit of beer in my mind I won't be angry that my best plant gets ruined? Or the other point of view: Now - in this special situation - I can accept what happens and find something interesting in it ... I like the verse!
Yes Ralf, you saw what I had in mind. I was drinking beer with a few friends. We were fascinated by this weird insect working his way over the leaves. It was too interesting to pick off.
Devika, Polona I love the fact that people can have different interpretations. Its a surprising strength of a 3 line poem.
Hey, Dalloway, I'm trying to add you to the links at my blog, but blogspot keeps telling me you don't exist, so I guess this message is a figment of somebody's imagination. Must be those ales.
interesting composition; the mixture of greyscale and colour resonates well the image and poem

This a nice verse. I like the flow and it has a diofferent feel to it becausee of the connection between the moth and the destruction of the tree.

ReplyDeleteOoooo a good one, Dalloway! And such a link between the ale and the tree... that word -devour-.
ReplyDeleteThat sense of passively accepting what comes will be familiar to anyone who has ever a drop too much taken.
